Voters Split over Obama and McCain views on Iraq.
The most important opinion poll shows that McCain has an edge over Obama on the issue of Iraq. majority think that McCain is more capable of handling Iraq issue than Obama on the basis of military experience. However, the people who support McCain on Iraq issue are not sure to vote for him.
Unlike the 2004 presidential contest, this is not shaping up as a national security election. Neither the war nor terrorism is foremost in the public's mind. The economy and energy prices are the pre-eminent issues of the day. And on those, Obama has the edge.

Obama Leading in the Opinon Polls
The latest opinion poll shows 48% support to Obama and 39% to Mc Cain. The electioneering process is not heading for hot at the moment. The economically powerful groups are backing Mc Cain.
